Sick of Add'ons When Buying a Car? How about an Oil Filter?
This car belonged to my grandfather Cal Haas, owner of Haas' Store from 1930 to 1969. (From which time, his son Robert ran it from then until 1998. Today it is Markley's Nationwide Insurance Agency at 5th & Coal Streets, Lehighton.) This is probably the only new car he ever bought. But look what the dealer charged for add'ons, even charging for the heater, defroster, and eleven gallons of gas!...At 22 cents a gallon!
